Valerie J. Marcotte, M.A., CCC-A, ABAC
Audiologist
Valerie Marcotte received her Bachelor of Arts in Speech & Hearing Sciences from The Ohio State University in 1999. She furthered her education at OSU, earning her Master of Arts in Audiology in 2001. She ventured up to Detroit, Michigan, for her clinical fellowship year at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
She moved to the Dayton area in 2001 and now has 25+ years of ENT-based experience working with hearing aid, cochlear implant and vestibular/balance patients. She has decided that she would like to specifically focus her attention on hearing-impaired patients who could benefit from wearing hearing aids.
Valerie has maintained the following:
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence since 2002 (requires 30 hours of continuing education triennially)
- Ohio Board licensure in Audiology since 2002 (requires 20 hours of continuing education biennially)
- American Board of Audiology Certification since 2004 (requires 20 hours of continuing education annually)
Outside of the office, Valerie enjoys spending time with her amazingly supportive fiancé and her daughter, who attends Wright State University. Valerie enjoys working on game/puzzle books, assembling puzzles and has a slight obsession with Halloween decorations. Her favorite movie series is “Halloween,” but the “Jaws” and “Jurassic Park” franchises are tied for second.
